Application

This is an application to become a Nationally Certified ROMA Trainer (NCRT), or a Nationally Certified ROMA Implementer (NCRI), under the National Peer to Peer (NPtP) Training and Certification Project.

The person selected by the agency to become a ROMA Trainer (NCRT) should have training skills and experience in providing trainings. The person should be someone who is interested in sharing information about ROMA to the Community Action network. (See NCRT Considerations) There are four phases to the training and certification process: taking an E-Course, attending a Train-the-Trainer Classroom Session (may be in-person or virtual), practicing the delivery of the content, being evaluated on knowledge and delivery of the content. The training provides for demonstration of understanding of the basic concepts related to Results Oriented Management and Accountability and demonstration of the ability to present these concepts, using a standardized curriculum, in a training setting. See acknowledgement of commitment for ROMA Trainers. The Application Fee for the NCRT Training and Certification Process is $995.00.

The person selected by the agency to become a ROMA Implementer (NCRI) could be a member of the agency's leadership team, but should definitely be a person who can and will be trusted to provide input to the Executive Director and leadership. The person should have good oral and written communication skills and have at least 12 months experience with Community Action. (See NCRI Considerations) There are four phases to the training and certification process: taking an E-Course, attending an Introduction to ROMA Training (in-person or virtual), preparation of a portfolio to demonstrate understanding of the concepts and use of the practices, and a final exam. The training provides for demonstration of understanding of the basic concepts related to Results Oriented Management and Accountability and application of ROMA principles and practices to agency operations. See acknowledgement of commitment for ROMA Implementer certification. The Application Fee for the NCRI Training and Certification Process is $775.00.

If you are applying to become either a Trainer or Implementer but there are no Phase II sessions scheduled in your area, you may take the e-course only at this time. If you want to do this, type "E COURSE ONLY" in the Training Site box below.
The E-course Fee is $285.00. This will be applied to the full Application Fee for either NCRT or NCRI once you have been connected with a cohort.

Either the Application Fee or the E-Course Fee will be due prior to granting you access to Phase I. You will receive an invoice from Progress Resources, Inc. upon our receipt and processing of your application.
The invoice will include the information regarding the address for your payment to be sent to Progress Resources, Inc.
